Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
SECTION 1 - ONLINE STORE TERMS
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorised purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.
A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.
SECTION 1.1 - PRICE
The price for the Goods shall, unless otherwise agreed, be the price set out on the company's web site. The price for the Goods shall be displayed on the web site inclusive of VAT (UK Only) but exclusive of all costs of carriage and insurance which the Buyer shall pay in addition.
Suppliers RRP Pricing - Where applicable products on our website will feature the supplier’s RRP (Recommended Retail Price). This is for information purposes only as does not imply these products are in a promotion or sale event. When we run sales events and promotions these events will be clearly explained and featured in the relevant sale section(s) on our website.
Inclusion of VAT - Please note that the price that you will pay is the VAT inclusive amount where applicable. If you are purchasing from outside of the UK you will NOT be charged UK VAT. Prior to confirming your order, you will be presented with a total (VAT inclusive figure) which will be the amount you will be paying us for the products.
Sales Outside the UK - UK VAT will not be charged on your order.
Sales within the EU - When placing an order for European delivery, the price on a product page does not include UK value-added tax (VAT).
When you checkout on our website we will calculate the VAT & duties you need to pay, and these will be added and collected when you checkout. So, all taxes & duties will be paid on completion of your order and no extra charges will be due.
Sales within North America & rest of World - When placing an order the price you see on a product page does not include UK value-added tax (VAT).
UK VAT will not be charged to your order. You will be liable for Import duty, customs handling charge and your country’s VAT on the amount of the order. This is collected by the courier from you before delivery takes place.
SECTION 1.2 - PAYMENT
We accept credit and debit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else outside of the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and all debit cards.
Credit Card Security - All online payments are 100% secure. Your card details are never transmitted to us-only a confirmation that the payment has been accepted.
You can also use your PayPal account to order via the website.
International orders may be subject to a 4-6 week waiting period for funds to clear unless paid for by PayPal.
SECTION 1.3 - HANDLING AND DELIVERY
Any dates specified by the Company for delivery of the Goods are intended to be an estimate only. If no date is specified for delivery of the Goods, delivery shall be within a reasonable time. Subject to the other provisions of these Terms, the Company shall not be liable for any loss, whether direct or consequential, economic or loss of profits or otherwise, arising directly or indirectly out of any delay in the delivery of the Goods nor will any delay entitle the Buyer to terminate or rescind the Contract unless the delay exceeds 60 day.
We recommend booking your electrician after you have received & checked your order.
Free Delivery - This offer only applies to UK deliveries over the value of £70.
Back Orders - If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Orders outside of the UK - For orders outside the UK, the customer will be liable for any import tariffs. If an order is refused due to not accepting the customs or for any other reason, we reserve the right to charge carraige and return carriage.
Reporting Damage
When you receive your order, please check every item for any damage or defects within 48 hours. If an item has been damaged, please follow these instructions (Tiffany Lighting Direct can not be liable for breakages reported after this period) :
If you receive a product that is defective or damaged, please contact our customer service department at sales@tiffanylightingdirect.co.uk. In your e-mail, please remember to specify your order number and attach pictures or describe the damage that your goods have suffered. We can then discuss either a replacement or a return and refund for damaged items.
SECTION 1.4 - GUARANTEE
All of our new products have at least twelve months warranty from the date of delivery unless otherwise stated. We will undertake the repair or exchange of any item, which is deemed to be faulty.
Installation - We insist that your light is fitted by a qualified electrician, failure to do so will result in invalidating your guarantee.
SECTION 1.5 - RETURNS
If for any reason you’re not totally satisfied you can return your goods within 90 days of delivery for an exchange or a refund, excluding the cost of the original delivery if you paid delivery. All items must be in their original condition.
By original condition, we mean:
- You’ve kept all original packaging in good condition and the product can be resold at full price.
- You haven’t used the product or installed it.
We will only accept returns that have not been installed and are in their original packaging. We also expect the return to be packaged in the original outer packaging that it was delivered in. We reserve the right to refuse the return if these conditions are not met. You have 90 days from the day after delivery to inform us of your desire to return an item and return it. Unless otherwise stated you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item.
Returns are on condition that the products are returned in perfect condition and returned in original packaging with all contents, fixings, instructions, etc. included. Returned items that do not meet these conditions may not be refunded in full. Please return your item(s) with care, to ensure the product reaches us without damage.
Please do not write on the product boxes or use brown packaging tape; Doing so might incur a re-boxing fee as this reduces the item(s) value. This fee may be deducted from your refund.
Please apply your courier label to the external box with clear Sellotape – do not write on the box. Do not use brown tape to re-seal boxes.
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. We will make the reimbursement no later than 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied.
Commercial Invoices/Contracts
For commercial contracts (where the buyer is named as a business or delivered to a business address) a restocking charge will be levied of 35% on all returns.
All returns from outside the UK will be charged at cost. Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2000/2334/contents/made
